There are apparently 22 visible graves of which only one has an inscription on a headstone which reads:
“In Memory of
Emma Frances
the beloved wife of
Lieut. A. R. Montfort
of H.M. 2nd / 10th Reg.
Daughter of F. Carlisle Esq.
of Grahamstown
who died at this place
October 29th 1861
shortly after the premature
birth of an infant
which survived its parent five days."
