Rev. Richard Birt of the London Missionary Society came out to the Cape along with the Rev. Henry Calderwood. This is the grave of Richard Birt's first wife. Regarding Calderwood - to get to a place called Calderwood where he lived, take the Calderwood turnoff from the R53 you will come to a stream crossing, on photo 1 and find the ruins of Calderwood’s house on the right at 32° 51' 13.58" S, 26° 43' 19.11" E, photos 2-6.
