Cemetery information:- The two grave markers each for an “unknown British soldier" are located at Oaklands Country Manor on the farm Oaklands 1192 near Van Reenen. The property was owned by Major Sir Hervey James Hugh Bruce-Clifton (7th Baronet) Grenadier. Lady Caroline Bruce-Clifton gave permission for the photographs. Her late husband Jamie (a military man) found the two markers lying discarded in the veld with no evidence of graves while out riding in the area. He brought them back home and erected them in his garden, as a memorial to the two unknown soldiers. Peter Moss.
