DENYSSCHEN Aletta Petronella Johanna 1895-1920
According to word of mouth, which has passed down the family for several generations, Aletta committed suicide after the breakdown of a secret love affair. She was only 25 years old at the time. It has not been clearly established if she was indeed a member of the Erasmus family. She may have been born an Erasmus who later married a Denysschen. The fact that she is buried in the Erasmus cemetery suggests that she may have been a member of the Erasmus family.
The inscription on the headstone reads as follows:
