Cemetery information:- Inscription: This fort begun on 6 June 1879 was one of a series built along the line of Lord Chelmsfords advance on Ulundi. It was garrisoned by two companies of the 2/24 Regiment. This monument is also in memory of Lieutenant F.T.C. FRITH, 17th Lancers who was killed in a skirmish at the Erzungayan Hill near the Upoko River on June 5, 1879.
