Cemetery information:- I recently visited the British graves at the Marriannhill Monastery near Pinetown. I discovered that out of the nine graves, only eight had headstones. I went on to do a little research and posting this today so that future generations will know who these men were. During my work, I discovered a couple of errors on the gravestones too. These I have corrected with the information on the individual pictures. All of the men buried there, were treated at 13 Stationary hospital, better known as the Princess Christian Hospital at Pinetown Bridge. The only reason that I can gather for them being buried here is that they were all Catholic. The other deaths from the hospital were buried at the Anglican Church in Pinetown. (Warren Loader) At the time of Warren's visit in 2021, the Smyth headstone was missing. Album complete. eGGSA captions by: Annel Meyer & Rob Jones.
