2. Monument
Interred the remains of sixteen seamen and three boys who were drowned on the 10th of March 1826 by the foundering of the Pinnace of H.M.S. OWEN GLENDOWER in a heavy gale when in charge at the Senior Lieutenant. This monument is erected as a memorial and in testimony of their former Merit.
