Graves identified by James Anderson:-
The unidentified graves with the wrought iron surround marked ? on the Plettenberg Bay St. Peter’ churchyard photos belong to William Jones (b Aug 4 1832 d Jul 19 1915) and his third wife the widow Hannah Cowley (d Aug 13 1915).
He was the builder of St. Peter’s and is mentioned in Patricia Storar’s book on Plett, as well as John F Sewell’s diary 1875-1897. Harbour master at Plettenbergbay compiled and edited by CD Storar, Patricia’s husband.
These graves were never given headstones as can be seen from your photo’s.
